Branding + E-commerce

The Palace Bar

Described as the "Most wonderful temple of art" by the poet and novelist Patrick Kavanagh, The Palace is one of Ireland’s most historic and much-loved bars. To be asked to work on the identity for such an iconic venue was something I regarded as a great honour. They asked me to fine-tune their Palace Bar brand and in a new departure, to develop their name as an Irish whiskey merchant, enabling them to sell their whiskeys and other merchandise online.

Along with the creation of a new branding, one of the most important items was the creation of the online e-commerce store. This would be The Palace Bar’s window to the world online and had the potential of growing their existing client base. This involved collaborating closely with the venue owners and piecing together a workable and original online presence.

Since the creation of this online store, their business has soared. Some exceptionally aged Palace Bar Irish whiskeys have been sold across the globe to countries like Chine, Sweden and the USA, in turn, bringing the Palace’s identity to a new and wider audience.

It’s vital that you use a secure host for your site and a reputable vender when accepting payments online. Postage and customs charges are all very important when setting this project up for success. Was a great project to work on and launch.
